Member Plan Details

With Telstra's Mobile Member Plans, you get an amount of included value for use on calls, text and picture messaging
(like MMS and SMS)
plus a monthly member credit.

When choosing a Member Plan you'll need to consider minimum monthly spend, call rates, included calls and what your usage is
likely to be.
These plans are available on a 12 month or 24 month plan and give you the choice of a Bonus Option.

Mobile Phones


 

With Telstra's Member Plans, there are three mobile phone options:

1. Mobile Repayment Option (MRO)

With a Mobile Repayment Option (MRO) you choose to pay as much or as little upfront for a mobile phone and then repay the
remainder over 12, 18 or 24
months, interest free. Remember when combining the MRO option with a Member Plan, your member credit can offset the monthly
mobile phone repayments.

Here are the different MRO amounts and eligible Member plans:

You can choose your new mobile phone from the selection available through Phone Select. You can also include approved
mobile phone accessories
in your MRO like car kits, portable handsfree kits, phone chargers, batteries, data cables and leather cases.

 Your repayments will vary depending on the phone cost and whether you want to pay it off over 12, 18 or 24 months.

2. Outright Purchase

Just buy your mobile phone outright with no more to pay. Mobile phone costs can vary but you'll always find something to suit your
needs and budget.

3. BYO: Bring your Own

This is a great option if you already have a mobile phone and simply want to connect to Telstra and start receiving our member
benefits. It's important to
know that if you BYO your old mobile phone you may not get all the benefits and services of Telstra's Next Gā„¢ network.
This means there's never been a better reason to upgrade. 

Bonus Options

Telstra gives you a choice of Bonus Options3,4 so you can tailor your mobile phone package to suit your usage and get maximum
 value. With six choices, there are options to suit everyone.

  • 20c for 10min Night - For people who like to talk at night.
    Pay 20c for the first 10 minutes of national voice or video calls to any other eligible mobile phone on any Australian network5,
    from 8pm - 7am, 7 days a week. Better yet, there's no call connection fee.
     
  • Free 24/7 - For people who call the same number regularly.
    Nominate one Telstra mobile phone or any eligible fixed line number in Australia and for the first 3 minutes of the voice
    or video call, it's free, anytime. There's also no call connection fee. (A $3 set-up fee applies).
     
  • Free Text - For people who text a lot of Telstra mobile phones.
    Send 200 free SMS messages to any other Telstra mobile phone in Australia between 8pm and 7am each night4.
    Plus, all other SMS to Telstra mobile phones or mobile phones on other networks in Australia will be charged at 15c per
    SMS at all times.
     
  • Free 50 Text - For people who text a couple of times a day.
    Send 50 free text messages to any mobile phone on any network in Australia
    (or 50 free Talking Text messages on an eligible Telstra home phone) each month, 24 hrs, 7 days.²
     
  • My Hour - For people who like to catch up with friends and family during an allocated time.
    Nominate one hour of the day or night to receive the first 20 minutes of each voice or video call within that hour - free.
    You can call any eligible fixed or eligible mobile phone number within Australia any day of the week2.
    (Not available on $10 Member plans.)
     
  • Per Second Saver - For people who make lots of short calls.
    Only pay for the time that you use. Voice and video call rates to eligible numbers are charged per second instead of
    in 30 second blocks, 24 hrs, 7 days. A 27c call connection fee applies.

  1. Min cost on $20 Plan is $240; on $30 Plan is $360; on $40 Plan is $480; on $60 Plan is $720; on $80 Plan is $960;
    on $100 Plan is $1,200; on $150 Plan is $1,800; on $250 Plan is $3,000; plus excess usage charges and any MRO
    repayments.
  2. Excludes some calls/text/data. Unused calls/text/data expire each month. An SMS is up to 160 characters and an MMS
    is up to 500KB in size.
  3. Our Fair Play Policy applies to all Bonus Options.
  4. Excludes some text. Unused text expires daily.
  5. Unused calls expire monthly. Excludes some calls.
  6. On handsets that support WAP 2.0/XHTML.
  7. Your eligible services must not be managed across our old and  new billing customer care systems to receive Telstra Reward
    Options.  Eligible customers need HomeLineĀ® Plus, Advanced, Ultimate,  Together or Reach, plus have one or more of the
    following eligible  service types on a Single Bill.
    • Telstra post-paid mobile plan $20 or above per month (excludes  satellite and some other post-paid plans);
    • Any BigPondĀ® Dial-Up Internet, Satellite post-paid plan  $20 or above per month or any BigPond ADSL, Cable or
      Wireless  Broadband plan of $39.95 or above per month (excludes services  under offer codes 3288 and 5468); or
    • FOXTEL from Telstra.

    Family calls are standard national voice calls between your  eligible home phone and your mobile services on Telstra Single
    Bill. Limits apply on the number of services that may be included;  only one Reward Option per account; incompatible with
    any other  packages, special offers or Telstra’s Pensioner Discount  and some offers. Some services are excluded.
    Unused calls/messages  expire monthly.  Excludes some calls/text.
